A trip to Paris

 If you ask a question - "What is Paris?", somebody will answers that it is the city of dream, the city of lights, that it is the most beautiful and romantic place in the world. There are those who will answers that it is the city of history and culture, the city of high fashion and high cuisine. And of course, Paris has always been the magnet to the most fashionable, talented and educated people.

 

Early morning, bright sun, beautiful boulevards and we beginning our Paris tour. The Latin Quarter: Pantheon - the shrine of the great people of France, Sorbonne - the oldest University, Luxembourg Garden, The Promenade Voltaire with houses, where Jacques Chirac, Karl Lagerfeld live and Rudolph Nureyev, Delacroix, Voltaire stayed. We will see the museum d’Orsay, bridges: the Pont de la Concorde – an arch bridge across the River Seine, the pont Alexander III - the most beautiful bridge in Paris, built on the Russian money. Further we expect the Field of Mars, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Palace de la Concorde and the Champs Elysees. As well as the Grand Theater of Opera and the Louvre Museum.

 

We depart to the island of the Cite the first royal residence - City Hall and the Cathedral of Notre Dame (free entrance). You will have 4 hours free time to explore this city. You can visit the spectacular museums, go shopping and enjoy a cup of coffee with a delicious French croissants.

 

And for those wishing to be organized excursions: - a very interesting walking tour of the Cité Island (1.5 hours), which was and is the seat of secular life and power. - Tour of the Louvre (2 hours) includes such masterpieces: the Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory of Samothrace, the slaves of Michelangelo, Sleeping Hermaphrodite, large-format paintings of Jacques-Louis David's "The Coronation of Napoleon, Josephine," "The Oath of the Horatii". And of course the halls of Italian art with paintings by Titian, Giotto, Botticelli, Uccello, Raphael - "La Belle Jardinière", Leonardo da Vinci - "Mona Lisa," "John the Baptist".

 

After the Louvre we will head to Montmartre. At the beginning you will be given some free time ( 30-45 minutes) to purchase souvenirs, food on the street of Rivoli ( the most famous shopping street of Paris), which runs along the Louvre Museum. Further from the monument of Louis XIV we depart on the metro to Montmartre (the journey will take 30 minutes, the cost of 1 ticket - 1.90 Euro, 10 tickets - 12.50 Euro). The duration of the tour 1.5 -2 hours: the history of the high Hill of Paris will be told , the Basilica of the Sacre Coeur, we will also see the famous cabaret " Moulin Rouge", cafe, restaurants, vineyards and the first in the world bistro.

 

After Montmartre, we will find ourselves at the Eiffel Tower, where you can make great pictures. There is a chance for you to go with a boat on the River Seine (lasts 1 hour). And then at the pier we will wait for the bus and head to the airport
